Why do people have so little respect for Security? Part 2? Police have a better understanding of what WE go through. People do not respect us because most of us do not carry guns, handcuffs, or batons. A security officers job is simply to Observe, Report and Protect People and Property within our own limitations. Another thing to think about...if your caught doing wrong and you wind up in court...our "Daily Reports" (Legal Documents) that we sign at the end of each day is the biggest piece of evidence that is able to be used in court that will determine your fate (jail or freedom). Did you know we could have your car towed and impounded at your expense with just one phone call for parking in a fire lane or Handicapped spot? We don't because we understand your in a hurry. So instead of having you towed, we simply ask you to move. Is there any future in security officer work? I work as a security officer. It's a gutter job, but I get a $790.00 biweekly paycheck off of 96hours of work. I applied for a job as a security officer? at a factory the other day. The factory had an independent agency administer a background check on me and found I was ineligible because of my driving record. The report they sent me was a check of my last three years as a driver. Well all of my tickets and license suspensions happened between June-Sepetember 2005. What is the job of a security guard who watches a MPHP property? This question goes to people that live in a public housing and to lawyers. As everybody knows every public housing is guarded by a security officer. Now, the question is, isn't that the job of a security officer who presides over a security desk to protect the building and the tenants rather than harassing and intimidating the people that live in the building? What do you say if the guard constantly single out the individual that live in the building who have no violent behaviour what so ever and who has got a good sense of humor who get along with people and with great self esteem, but who happen to be a soft target (immigrants) for any kind of abuse? The tenant has reported the matter several times to the MPHA official to the guard supervisor in writing and in person and no one take his concern seriously and he continue living in a building that is a virtual prison. What option the tenats has? Can he sue MPHA or can he press charge against the guard that causes him a lot or pain and suffering?

What to write in the personal statement section for a security officer application form? Um, yeah...... a little help please.......... At the back of the form there is a section for you to write a personal statement and it says "Plese use this oppurtunity to support your application, stating why you would like to work with us."
