percentage of security guards at each department stores in usa?

Okay this is just a fun question, it can be serious answer or silly answer dose not matter. What are the percentage of department stores have security guards such as target, long drugs, groccery stories and even at wal mart? do they have security guards to prevent shoplifting? I know they are there to keep an eyes on shoplifting any other reasons beside shoplifting?

1. 99 percent. There may be a major retailer that doesn't have a loss prevention department, but none that I know of.
2. It really depends. In rural areas 2 people could be covering 4 stores in an area. In an urban area 2-4 people could be covering a single store. Places that primarily sell electronics have more people working there (because electronics are hot ticket items). Also, LP watch the employees too.
